Demon's Souls - Sony PlayStation 3 - RPG

I liked this game and wanted to play again on PC but could not find my disc so purchased another one. My disc came in as ordered; brand new in original unopened package. The game ran fine on my PS3 the only downside is my saved Demon's Soul game on Playstation online was overwritten and I lost all of my progress but it has been several years since playing so it can't hurt to start over again.

Great game and really enjoyed playing it through. Good graphics for the time it was made and interesting combat. Exceedingly difficult and a few frustrating mechanics but definitely a good game. Has a ton of gameplay hours and a great replayability.

I played a few games in the souls series, but never played the game that started it all. Good RPG dungeons & dragons style. The hero can use melee skills, ranged skills, and magic to inflict damage. Big enough world(s) to explore and interesting bosses. There are a few annoyances, such as long loading times, needing to go back to a central location to level up, easy to farm healing items, etc., which was solved in later souls games. I initially intended to give four stars due to some of these reasons, but since this is a first games of this type, I figured it deserves five stars. I found this game to be much easier than the rest of the souls series. However, I knew what to expect. Note that if you haven't played games like this before, you may find the game annoying and "unfair". This type of game is not for everyone. I did find that most boss fights were rather easy, however, as well as most of the fights. Plenty of "ordinary" enemies that are tougher than most bosses in my opinion.

For Medieval Fantasy lover and Diehard Souls fans. A cult classic that spawned the widely successful Dark Souls series, this game is a gem of it's time with an aesthetically pleasing art style, gritty medieval combat against demons and brutal boss fights, each of which has it's own puzzle-like elements in order to solve how to defeat them. Plenty of level diversity and no boss encounter is the same, there's hundreds of secrets to find throughout multiple play cycles as well as complex side-quests with an array of compelling npcs. Progression is completely non-linear with the exception of one level towards the end of the game. Great Game, revolutionary for it's time.

Arrived flawlessly packaged and brand new as advertised. If you can find an old ps3 for sale somewhere playing this game alone is worth purchasing one.
