Dark Souls II tunnetaan korkeasta vaikeustasostaan ja palkitsevista taisteluistaan, mikä houkuttelee haasteita etsiviä pelaajia. Peli tarjoaa tumman, salaperäisen maailman täynnä salaisuuksia sekä paljon erilaisia vihollisia ja pomoja. Hahmoa voi muokata syvällisesti, mikä mahdollistaa monia pelityylejä. Samalla jotkin pelijärjestelmät ovat vaikeasti ymmärrettäviä ja aseiden tasapaino sekä kestävyys eivät aina ole optimaalisia. Tarina ja NPC:t koetaan usein vähemmän kiinnostaviksi kuin sarjan muissa osissa, ja tietyiltä alueilta puuttuu visuaalista syvyyttä. Kokonaisuutena peli sopii haastavista toimintaroolipeleistä pitäville, mutta ei niille, jotka etsivät helppopääsyistä tai tarinavetoista kokemusta.

Ignore nit picky critical reviews as those folks aren't designing the games that take months or years to make. If you loved the first Dark Souls game like I did, then this game is x10000 with enhancements on everything! Buy the game and immerse yourself in it!! I don't believe in being a critic as some folks will love the games they play and others will dislike everything about a perfectly great game. Sensory assault: A wide range of threats will prey on human senses & phobias - auditory hallucinations, vertigo, acrophobia, etc. (that's a great gaming experience because it immerses you). Dark souls franchise is a hard core gaming winner. I love old school RPG's... Happy gaming!

Preordered and bought it back in 05/2014 for my husband for $59.99 plus tax. He was thrilled about this game and would play for hours.
