Akai Katana Shin

Great shooter. Must for Xbox fans and shooter game fans.

This is a great shoot me up!great graphics,very challenging with a fun and rewarding scoring system and good gameplay.okay bosses,but the levels and enemies therein are a blast.plenty of modes to enjoy

There's no escaping the fact that Akai Katana is a Japanese shooter with wonderfully woven mechanics and an anime presentation. This drags the needle away from mass market and nestles it snugly against niche appeal, but if you've ever spent a few credits on Gradius, R-Type, Thunder Force, Ikaruga or anything by Cave or G.rev - and happily lost yourself in an hour or two of bullet heaven - then Akai Katana is a sturdy pair of wings that tries something a little bit different. It doesn't quite reach the lofty heights of the all-time shoot-'em-up greats, but it's still an engaging sortie that offers a rich and evocative challenge.

You'll know if this game is for you if you like bullet hell shmups. This is the third CAVE game to be released for the 360 and is a horizontal shooter like deathsmilies. CAVE make the best shmups in the bussines in my opinion and this is the best on the current generation of consoles. The graphics are superb. There are 3 game modes to choose from so plenty to keep you entertained. As with all shmups the gameplay is really addictive. If you liked Deathsmiles or Don Don Pachi then this is the game for you.

I hate shooter air plans that swarms the screen with enemy bullets and gives you at the same time the fire power to do minimum effort to breeze through it. Simply ridicules game play.
