I understand that this is a highly rated game! Visuals are stunning and music is great. But I don't get hooked to the game. It makes you move your hand and in that way you should ideally be more easily involved and all. My kids seems to be liking it even though I am not sure they actually understand what the game is about. Anyways, as I said, there is some novelty, no violence or bad language, appealing visuals, catchy audio. Buy it for that experience. As a 'game', not so much!

It is sitting on our shelf, and has been since we played it once. Video games like this are easy to review: do the kids like it? The answer is a resounding "meh." I could regale you with tales of the colorful lights, or horrify you with stories of the absolutely atrocious UI system (okay, seriously, that needs to be said: it's BAD). But at the end of the day, if the kids don't enjoy it... As to why they don't enjoy it, simple: it is too structured. Why would they want to move their arms in beat when they could have a full blown, shake-everything-they-have-plus-the-poor-cat dance party to whatever music they want? I anticipate this coming out every so often, but until then I will enjoy their dance parties and not feel too bad.

DDR for your arms is an accurate description for this game and it's much more fun than I expected it to be! The game's a few years old so some of the pop songs are dated, but you can mix beats into songs and alter some of the instrumental components as you play and it changes the song. I prefer "play conducting" (it's nothing like real conducting) to classical pieces and to Bohemian Rhapsody. The crescendos in these pieces make for fun gameplay as the movements get bigger and faster. It also scores you higher if you really get into it. Not sure of its staying power, but it's fun for now.

It is the best of the kinect games. The seller 's fast delivery, packaging and price are also very good.
