Need for Speed Heat tarjoaa jännittävän avoimen maailman, jossa auton muokkaus ja viritys ovat keskeisessä roolissa. Päivä- ja yösykli tuo vaihtelua laillisten ja riskialttiiden katukisojen välillä, mikä tekee pelistä strategisesti kiinnostavan. Grafiikka ja äänet ovat hyvin tunnelmallisia ja vetävät pelaajan mukaan. Pelaaminen voi kuitenkin muuttua yksitoikkoiseksi, etenkin kun rahaa tai mainetta täytyy kerätä. Poliisi voi olla niin aggressiivinen, että se turhauttaa, ja tarina on lyhyt. Joillakin käyttäjillä esiintyy suorituskykyongelmia, vaikka kone olisi tehokas. Kaikkiaan kyseessä on vahva arcade-ajopeli, mutta nämä puutteet kannattaa huomioida.

This is one of the best Need For Speed games I have played. This game gets so much hate it's not even by far the worst to say the least. In my opinion I think this is a great racing game and the story of the game shows why it's called Payback for a reason. Some of the races can be difficult to complete yet I'm always looking for a challenge. I don't care what anyone says, Need For Speed Payback one of the best along with Heat.

Fun for a while, but was forced to always be online. Starts to feel repetitive in late game.
