Alan Wake II Deluxe Edition

This game is quite the story; multilayered from the dynamics of all the characters. It’s a mix of one part police drama, one part The X-Files, and one part Silent Hill horror story. There are two games here. One game is the story of Alan Wake and the other story is the story of the F.B.I. Investigation by Saga Anderson. Her police partner Casey reminds me a lot of Max Payne from the Max Payne games.

Listen, this games pretty good gameplay wise, shooting is smooth, movement is fluid, and graphics are amazing. My massive problem with it (IN MY OPINION) is the writing, and some problems with the investigation mechanics. The writing, well, it is about as cheesy as it gets in my opinion, it is unrealistic to how humans react, and just very odd, almost robotic. Once you play the game you will notice it early I am not giving any spoilers. The investigation mechanics aren't horrible but to be honest boring, again, no spoilers but you will notice early what I mean. This game is worth a play somewhat, especially if you liked number 1, but honestly it is not worth the new price to me I would wait until it is used.

With its incredible visuals and sound (including music from returning composer Petri Alanko), stellar acting, emotional story, gut-wrenching twists and turns and satisfying gameplay, Alan Wake 2 is an uncanny masterpiece that will be talked about in reverent tones for years to come. Being lost in a never-ending night has never been so much fun.
