The game is great, I love turn based games like Shining Force II (SEGA Genesis). Game has little to do with football, but an excellent rpg'ish turn based fighting game. Especially later on when you mutate and up your skills.

My son is obsessed with this game. (So he loves it, Mom would rather he didn't love it quite so much and played outside more instead!) ;) We have purchased several of the expansion packs for it as well.

This game is problematic -- it's a bit of a complex board game, or it's kind of a boring video game. Gameplay itself is pretty good, albeit frustrating (you'll mess up more often than not). However, it crashes often -- Cyanide apparently has no real QA. And the dialogue you're subjected to is repetitive, often attempting to be funny and fails. Much room for improvement. Hopefully, Blood Bowl III will fix these issues.
