Space Hulk on digitaalinen versio tunnetusta Warhammer 40k -lautapelistä, joka pysyy uskollisena alkuperäisille säännöille ja tunnelmalle. Pelissä on paljon tehtäviä ja skenaarioita, joten peliaikaa riittää. Miljöö on synkkä ja jännittävä, ääniefektit ovat hyviä. Kuitenkin on isoja haittoja: peli toimii usein hitaasti, lataa pitkään ja sillä on teknisiä ongelmia, erityisesti käsikonsolilla. Ohjaus on kankea ja valikot vaikealukuiset. Vihollisia ja tehtäviä on vähän vaihtelua, ja esitystapa tuntuu joskus halvalta. Kaiken kaikkiaan se on loistava valinta alkuperäisen faneille, mutta vähemmän sopiva niille, jotka etsivät sulavaa, modernia pelikokemusta.

I hate to leave a negative review but in this case I feel I must. I'm a big fan of the the original board game and this is very faithful to the board game however production quality is poor to the point of making it unplayable. The level "defend" for example you have to defend against an onslaught of genestealers. But after a few turns they stop attacking lurking off board and then they stop taking their turn. Level is impossible so and the rest of the game levels cannot be unlocked. Other bugs include it cannot calculate action points properly when you walk backwards. It Looses count of how any genestealers you have killed, the controls to switch between players or end a turn fail so you get stuck. The description also in my view implies an online 2 player version. This is not in the game the 2 player version is local only, 1 at a time passing the controller.

Enjoining it, played the one from the 90's which was difficult at first(on ps1). My advice is to replay the 3rd or 4th level a few times on this new version to get a good feel for the game. You will then find your planning is better and you will progress through the levels with alot more confidence. Don't forget to use the dice option if you get low command points on your turn. My only complaint is the really slow load time, which coincidentally is very much like the 90's version!
