Super Bomberman R (Shiny Edition) on erityisesti pidetty hauskasta ja kaoottisesta moninpelistään, jossa on paljon hahmoja ja pelitiloja. Peli sopii kaikenikäisille, mutta tuo vähän uutta aiempiin osiin verrattuna. Yksinpelissä tarina jää usein lyhyeksi ja pinnalliseksi, ja verkkoyhteisö on rajallinen. Kaveriporukalla pelaaville tämä on hyvä valinta, mutta syvällistä tai mullistavaa kokemusta ei kannata odottaa.

Very good game. Close to the originals just bit of a horrible look in my oppinion BUT it could be worse. Can disregard the looks when the gameplay is still there. Multiplayer and characters are a cool feature.

Camera angles and controls are not as good as Bomberman Ultra. Especially in story mode where the area gets large and it zooms to keep players on the screen. The angles make it hard to tell where edges are and using the analog sticks with the angle is prone to error. So I stick with the D-pad. My biggest complaint is story mode. You basically have to play story mode to earn gems to unlock (buy) all the characters and arenas for your battle mode fun! But the complaint isn't that. It is that the story mode cut scenes are so bad and can't be skipped. If I could at least skip them instantly, or better yet an option to auto skip all cut scenes, that would be so much better. The story is so bad and then poorly told and executed on top of it all. So not my favorite bomberman game. I would love just an updated Bomberman Ultra with even more arenas. But this will have to do for now. Bottom line, I would stick with Ultra until this game is twenty or less.

I like all the bomberman stuff, I would say negatively the cartoonish storymode isn't for me. I'm a bomberman 64 type.

A good attempt to capture the oldskool Bomberman's Gameplay and Mechanics Soul... but falls just short! Story Mode is just ok but abit repetative with Arena type levels based on each World rather then actual Story Missions which feel alive like in Alot of Previous Bombermans especially Saturn Bomber which i consider to be the pinical of what can be done with abit of passion and talent. Also each world has a nice Boss Battle at the end. Also the voice acting is cringworthy bad, and really does make you dislike each of the Bombing Siblings! Battle mode is enjoyable but lacks that sumthing special, still great fun for a while tho. Overall i would say its worth waiting for a sale on this game!
