Cris Tales tarjoaa visuaalisesti upean JRPG-kokemuksen ainutlaatuisilla ajanhallintatoiminnoilla, jotka mahdollistavat menneisyyden, nykyisyyden ja tulevaisuuden näkemisen samanaikaisesti. Ostajat arvostavat viehättäviä hahmoja, mukaansatempaavaa tarinaa löydetystä perheestä ja tyydyttävää tapaa, jolla sivutehtävät näkyvästi vaikuttavat kunkin kaupungin tulevaisuuteen. Peliä kuitenkin haittaavat merkittävät ongelmat: taistelu tuntuu toistavalta eikä hyödynnä täysin luovaa potentiaaliaan, Switch-pelaajat kohtaavat turhauttavan pitkät latausajat, ja pakollinen ajoitusmekaniikka voi osoittautua saavuttamattomaksi joillekin pelaajille. Vaikeuskäyrä on epätasainen äkillisten pomopiikeillä, ja loppu tuntuu antiklimaattiselta 30-40 tunnin pelaamisen jälkeen. Näistä puutteista huolimatta vuoropohjaisten RPG-pelien fanit, jotka arvostavat tunnelmaa ja tarinankerrontaa mekaanisen täydellisyyden sijaan, löytävät nautittavan 30-40 tunnin seikkailun, vaikka se jääkin nykyaikaisista klassikoista kuten Bravely Default.

Not a big fan of RPGs as i don’t really like just sitting clicking stuff, but this one hooked me. Honestly, was great. Not done with it, but for 10 bucks on all platforms (Xbox one, Xbox Series X, Ps4 PS5, switch, switch lite and the oled. Didn’t mention either digital consoles cause you of course can’t get the physical games on a digital console.) Not much to say besides it’s great! The time mechanics are great, gameplay is actually somewhat fun, Good story, and just overall good! Not a full review, but watch IGNs review on it, they get it right. Cya!

The shipping was quick. The game itself, well, the mechanics are not very good but the art is really pretty. Too many loading screens and the game doesn’t fully tell you how to use certain skills that are vital to you (For example, it didn’t teach me how to scan enemies for weaknesses and had to figure it out myself). Overall, it’s one of those games to pass the time.

The game has it all, magic, time travel, and many NPCs to interact with. You do not get overwhelmed with new characters and challenges early on. The new characters and challenges come at appropriate intervals, challenging enough to keep you interested but not too much to make you give up early.

I love JRPGs and ARPGs. The voice acting was jarring at times as well. Where this game thrives is the hand drawn artwork and the puzzle and the play with time. Although simplistic, a great idea and the makers have so much to be proud of. This is a game that so many ideas can be birthed from and should-I hope-be built upon in the future in other games. If you love old school JRPGs then this is an amazing homage and you’ll likely enjoy it.
