Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition tarjoaa kattavan toimintaroolipelikokemuksen kaikilla DLC:illä, parannetulla grafiikalla ja syvällisellä taistelujärjestelmällä. Varuste- ja tasojärjestelmät tuovat paljon vaihtelua ja uudelleenpeluuarvoa. Uusia ominaisuuksia on kuitenkin vähän, ja tarina tuntuu hieman vanhentuneelta. Osa pelaajista raportoi teknisistä ongelmista, kuten kaatumisista. Suositellaan erityisesti niille, jotka eivät pelanneet alkuperäistä tai haluavat pelata uudelleen, mutta suuria uudistuksia ei kannata odottaa.
