Stormrise tarjoaa ainutlaatuisen 3D-näkymän ja vertikaalisen taistelun, mikä erottaa sen muista strategia-peleistä. Whip Select -järjestelmä on innovatiivinen, mutta toimii parhaiten pienillä ryhmillä. Suurissa taisteluissa ohjaus muuttuu kömpelöksi ja kamera vaikeuttaa kokonaisuuden hallintaa. Tekoäly ja reitinhaku ovat usein turhauttavia, ja rajoitettu tallennusjärjestelmä lisää ärsytystä. Vaikka moninpeli tukee jopa 8 pelaajaa, peliä kritisoidaan usein heikosta toteutuksesta ja tarinasta. Ostajien kannattaa huomioida nämä selkeät puutteet.

I honestly believed that all the dozen upon dozens of bad reviews this game has across the "interwebs" were exaggerated. That I could find a reason to push on and play the game... (like the admittedly interesting story concept)I was WRONG, dead wrong. This game is truly abysmal. For a game that focuses on getting the player "close in on the action" why are the graphics so lacking? No they are just POOR, simple low rez textures. For a game that touted its revolutionary "console" based control scheme" WHY, WHY in 7 hells would they choose to REMOVE controller support for the PC version!!!! Listen don't fool yourself into believing "you will make your own opinion" This game is miserable to play...I kidd you not when I tell you In a fit of frustration and with my nerves dangerously frayed I uninstalled it and (no lie) I calmly destroyed both the DVD the instruction manual and the art insert...( I did keep the blank DVD case)

Bought this game for our son to try out on the new PS3 system we got. Wanted a cheap game to try out and you get what you pay for. He took this game out after 5 mins and went back to a different game.
