Valkyria Revolution Limited Edition - Playstation 4

Not what it appeared to be. based on the reviews and pictures it seemed to be a turn based rpg which i enjoy. It is not.

Fun game great sound track! Interesting story as well.

Recommended for fans of the Valkyria series who don't mind an action-RPG spinoff. Feels like it could have been 'Valkyria Warriors' since it is more similar to that series. +Graphics/visuals +Good amount of content and length +Great variety of spells and skills +Upgrades allow some customization +Some control over AI scripts +Good variety of characters -Bland and longwinded story clashes with action battles -Action style does not suit as well as Chronicles' turn-based -Enemy HP sponges lead to boring clashes -No way to split the squad to cover different areas -Only enemies can use vehicles/tanks -Repetitive/grindy, free battles use mostly the same maps -Lots of spells feel lackluster or extraneous

Just buy Valkyria Chronicles 4 instead. That game deserves your money. This one, however, does not.

Way too many cutscenes and dialogue. Just want to play the game.
