Hell Warders yhdistää tornipuolustuksen ja toiminta-RPG-elementit tarjoten strategista syvyyttä yksiköiden sijoittelun ja aktiivisen taisteluosallistumisen kautta. Vaikka pelikierron ydin osoittautuu addiktoivaksi aaltopohjaisilla demonitaisteluilla ja RPG-etenemisellä, kokemus kärsii merkittävistä tasapainotusongelmista. Yksinpeli on turhauttavan vaikeaa huonon skaalautumisen vuoksi, ja usein vaaditaan hyväksikäyttöjä tai useita pelaajia päästäkseen tiettyjen tasojen ohi. Pelin tekninen esitys pettää vanhentuneilla visuaaleilla, nykivällä suorituskyvyllä ja erilaisilla bugeilla, mukaan lukien satunnaiset hahmoliiket. Taistelu tuntuu pinnalliselta yksinkertaisella painikkeiden naputtamisella eikä yhdistelmäjärjestelmää ole, vaikka moninpeli osittain kompensoi mahdollistamalla yhteistyöstrategiat. Ostajien tulisi huomata, että tämä nimike toimii parhaiten moninpelikokemuksena ystävien kanssa, sillä verkkopopulaatiot ovat pieniä ja yksinpeli muuttuu rankaisevasti epätasapainoiseksi myöhemmissä vaiheissa.

such garbage i actually uninstalled it 30 seconds after it started and of course i can't return it ... i think they do that so lame like this can actually sell a copy or 2... otherwise they would have to have a bon fire for all the returned games that make me feel slightly ashamed with game stop to peddle this ... in other words do not buy this ,rent this, or even check it out lol... but seriously!!!!

Cubed3 Rating Hell Warders won't even be remembered as the sloppy low-budget experiment that it is. It won't be remembered at all. It is much too rough to meet the standards of average gamers, and not weird enough to be interesting. It certainly is a huge hassle to play for more than four hours, but those first few moments before the balancing gets out of hand are actually enjoyable.
