I loved Impossible Mission for the Commodore 64 way back in the day. I saw this on Amazon for $8 or so, and thought "why not?" Yeah, not worth it. It could have been decent, but the control scheme requires you to hold the wiimote vertically, and use the trigger button on the underside to jump. Which is very awkward - if I could turn it sideways like a NES controller, it would be far more playable. But as far as I can tell that is not an option.

Impossible Mission is an old Commodore 64 game that originally released in 1985. Developed by Epyx, the company perhaps best known in North America for California Games , the title puts players in the virtual shoes of an intelligence agent trapped in an island complex. Your goal as that agent is to stop an evil scientist from arming and firing nukes. At the time, the blend of puzzles and action must have been something special. I can’t really say. I was too busy playing with LEGOs.

I was young when my family first bought the Commodore 64. There were several games that stood out to me as good game. I liked Summer Game, Winter Games, California Games; was a big fan of Bruce Lee... But my favorite was definitely Impossible Mission. The Wii version has both the classic game and the Wii upgraded version. Both are entertaining, the only issue I have is with the control scheme, but I can get by that. I am enjoying the game thoroughly, and perhaps you will too.

This fantastic game is a blast from the past, and they have an updated version in here as well. Awesome.

Three versions of the game - one with new graphics, the classic game look, and merged (a cross between the two). I loved this game on Commodore 64, and am thrilled to play it again! Once you get used to using the Wii's controls for this game, it plays very smoothly.
