Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor PS3

Shadows of Mordor is great! Only issue I had was the game was filthy and wouldn’t start. Took some cleaning and after a few tries it worked.

I looked up games like Far Cry and this game was in the list I found online. This is nothing like it! All it is is fighting Orcs and Uruks. What a waste of my time with this repetitive garbage! This shouldn't be attached to anything LOTR! This is such a disappointment to this great name and story which this game was void of!

...but should have listened to the reviews. Having played this on pc and mac, I was looking forward to the ps3 version as there's supposed to be exclusive orc captains in it. Can't tell yet as the graphics are horrible. Plus load times and frame rates are atrocious. My poor macbook runs this better and it doesn't even meet the mac requirements! I even an ssd in my ps3 to improve load times. It has helped, but it's still not great. Graphics are so bad, it basically loads texture-less polygons with npc's at a close distance. This causes animals/enemies to attack/kill you before you can react, as they're not visible until they're right on top of you. It feels like playing a ps2 game through emulation on a budget pc. This is with the update! Play at your own risk, this causes my ps3 to run really hot! Get the pc version, it runs, looks, and feels much better than this version.

Being a big LOTR fan I was happy to find that this wasn't another adaptation of the film. It's a fun and easy game to get into.

Game with a great story line and a must for LOTR fans.
