RØDECaster Duo on kompakti mutta erittäin tehokas all‑in‑one‑studio podcasteihin ja striimaukseen. Revolution‑etuasteet tarjoavat runsaasti puhdasta gainia ja matalan kohinatason, joten vaativatkin dynaamiset mikrofonit kuulostavat hyviltä. Kosketusnäytön, fyysisten liukujen ja SMART‑padien yhdistelmä tekee käytöstä nopeaa ja selkeää myös aloittelijoille. Useat USB‑C‑portit, Bluetooth, kuulokelähdöt ja linjalähdöt helpottavat laitteen sovittamista erilaisiin työnkulkuihin. Sisäinen DSP APHEX‑prosessorilla ja efekteillä tarkoittaa, että tallenteet ovat usein käyttökelpoisia ilman suurta jälkikäsittelyä. Muovinen kotelo tuntuu kuitenkin vähemmän ylelliseltä kuin joissakin saman hintaluokan laitteissa. Lisäksi tarjolla on vain kaksi analogista mic/instrumentti‑sisääntuloa, mikä voi rajoittaa suurempia keskusteluja tai bändejä. Pienille ja keskisuurille tuotannoille, joissa helppokäyttöisyys ja äänenlaatu ovat tärkeitä, se on silti erittäin vahva valinta.

On todella hyvä ja tullut itselle paljon käyttöä. Ainut miksi laitan neljä tähteä on, että satunnaisesti saattanut sammua ilman varteenotettavaa syytä. Ainut mitä olen veikannut on lämpötila, että olisi hyvä pitää mahdollisimman neutraaleissa lämpötiloissa. Muuten toiminut tosiaan moitteettomasti ja päässyt perehtymään hienosti audiotekniikkaan ja samalla sisällöntuotannon maailmaan.

Wonderful tool, answers all my needs, being smaller than the original Rodecaster Pro, I suddenly have extra free desk space. And even though the Rodecaster Duo is smaller, it still has a technological punch equal to its bigger brother.

A great bit of kit. This is our second attempt at this unit. The first one glitched and stopped recording randomly twice (different SD cards each time). I've been in touch with Rode and they've been really helpful. The power button is also weak at the back - so as long as you're careful. The mark 1 was much more durable. The mark 2 has so much more functionality, so we're sticking with it - but if you need something durable, I'd look elsewhere until these features are improved
