I am a fan of the Ortofon Concorde cartridges. They have amazing output and sound superb though my system. The OM styli range fit these but I want more than the standard array of spherical DJ styli and the hard to find bonded elliptical offerings. I have been using the excellent Reloop Vibe carts but decided to splash out and use an OM20 on my Reloop Concorde Vibe. The difference was astounding. A nude diamond stylus makes so much difference to the overall sound and sounds better than the Audio Technica VM95EN version. Well worth the high price and with careful treatment should last a very long time. Worth noting that I track these at 2g not the recommended 3g. Better for your records and your ears.

I was sceptical that this would make a noticeable difference but had had my original OM10 on the Pro-Ject IIIA since buying in 2018. Slightly fiddly to replace (used rubber gloves for purchase) but once on the difference was immediately apparent. textures come out that were not noticeable before, and everything just sounds more present. Well worth it for heavy record listeners. *Update* many months later this continues to delight. Well worth the money. Update Jan 2024: always hard to fully judge but sadly there is noticeable distortion, so I swapped back to the OM10 to compare (pretty hard) and that sounds clearer. So about 18 month lifespan which seems a bit short. I've definitely been playing a lot of records but given the OM10 is still standing seems a bit shorter than expected given the cost.

I have gone back to vinyl after a 30 year gap , and bought an average price turntable , fitted with the 5S stylus . After reading reviews I decided to try the 20 , to see if there was any difference … wow . Night and day . The sound is balanced , rich and much much less distortion . Hard to hear any tbh . The 20 cost slightly less than my turntable , but what a difference.

The new stylus is great. I can definitely hear the difference in audio quality between my old stylus, Ortofon OM10, and the new Ortofon 20, The old stylus slipped off the cartridge easily and the new O 20 went on without any problems. I have kept the old stylus to play my second hand records. Thanks to staff at Audio Tailor for talking me through the stylus removal and attachment process. Cheers Bob
