I was a bit wary about ordering one of these as often things ordered over the internet are not what they seem, but Harrisons looked reputable. It is a genuine Canon recharger and charged up a tired old battery beautifully. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Like another reviewer, my original charger stopped working completely after three or four years of use. Although after-market chargers are readily available, I wanted the genuine Canon model as am aware that there can be dangerous faults with third party electrical items sometimes. It’s disappointing that such an expensive camera does not come with a longer-lasting charging solution but at least the genuine replacement is working well and rapidly charges the battery albeit at a high cost to purchase. Thanks to Harrison Cameras for sourcing stock as I struggled to find one previously.
