Rockford Fosgate R165-S

Speakers sound good bass is clear. Don't expect for them to rattle your butt in the seat. Sound clarity great installed in 2005 Forester

Very happy with these speakers. Had to do a little bit of modifying to get the tweeters to fit (I did my research and knew these were a bit bigger than stock). Rich tones for a mid priced speaker. Always have loved Rockford Fronts: R165s 6.5" (these being reviewed) Rear: R1675 6.75" Amp: R250x4 Overall 2x the sound quality the stock bose system had in my Z Only con which I took a star off for was the highs were REALLY high on the tweeter. Had to do a ton of equalizing to get the pitch right. Nothing bad though. Still would recommend very highly!!

I picked these mostly because they are brand name for a good price. I now wish I had spent a few more bucks and got a set with a better crossover and more power handling ability. They sound alright but are a little raspy when I crank it.

Good speakers, would definetly recommend a subwoofer to complement these speakers, they just don't have that much bass. Great high and mid sounds, this is my second time buying, first time they blew cuz I had my frequency super low.

Purchased for 2003 Toyota Sienna - speakers were blown and I was able to wedge the tweets in the factory placement with some slight modification. I'm an ex-audiophile and these couldn't have been a better purchase. Now all i gotta fix are the rattles coming from all that bass!
