Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 koossa 235/40R18 XL 95V on sporttinen talvirengas tehokkaille autoille, tarkoitettu kylmille, märille ja kevyesti lumisille teille. Kuivalla, kylmällä pinnalla rengas tuntuu poikkeuksellisen tarkalta ja ketterältä talvirenkaaksi, ja monet kuvaavat sitä lähes hyvän kesärenkaan tasoiseksi talvikäytössä. Pito ja jarrutus lumella ovat hyvät tai erittäin hyvät suorituskykyiseksi talvirenkaaksi, vaikka erikoistunut Nordic- tai nastarengas on yhä parempi syvässä lumessa ja paljaalla jäällä. Mukavuus ja melutaso saavat usein kiitosta miellyttävyydestään. Très bonne tenue de route, assez silencieux, très bonne prise dans la neige et très pneus qui bonne tenue sur la glace, répond bien sur la route en hiver, dans les courbes et sur les arrêts. Je les recommande.

Great winter tires for a performance car (2026 VW GTI Autobahn). They are quiet, comfortable. The car handles lioke it was on rails on twisty mountain roads and Interstates. Excellent for snow and ice winter conditions and excellent when roads are dry or wet (unlike other winter tires).

I live in Calgary where winters have constant thawing and freezing cycles, making road conditions treacherous at times. These are very capable tires when new or slightly worn and have decent tread durability. At approximately 35,000 Kms with timely tire rotations and maintaining pressures regularly, they are now worn down evenly to 6/32nds of an inch remaining (approx. 50% worn). I was hoping to get another winter out of them, but I no longer feel safe driving on icy surfaces as they don`t grip nearly as well as they used to. Perhaps my expectations are unreasonable, but I am a bit disappointed in their deterioration in traction, stability and performance at this stage.
