Rode VideoMic NTG

reall good for interviews on a busy road - very selective on sound captured and good range

I am a beginner videographer/musician and wanted a better mic. I saw a lot of raving reviews of this product, and I was sold on its versatility. Being able to use it as a USB mic on my computer as well as a field mic connected to my camera or my smartphone as a makeshift audio recorder: this mic works in every situation I need it in. Sound quality by Rode is excellent, as expected. The extra features are nice - I've used the safety track already, saved my bacon on a recent video I made where audio levels clipped a couple of times. Only good things to say about this mic. Kind of wish it came with a container/bag/box to store the mic and all of it's cables, accessories, windscreens, etc, but can't really complain given how fantastic a product it is otherwise.

Excellent product. Exceeded expectations and I set the bar high.
