Boneco S450 ilmankostutin kuumalla höyryllä

I will be comparing this to my $30 vicks warm steam humidifier. Both boil water. The boneco is automatic. Add a timer and hygrometer to the Vick’s and it can easily be dialed in for desired humidity. The screw cover is already starting to become brittle from how close the jug placement is to the hot plate. I predict it will become faulty within 5-6 months of use. Had the Vick’s for over a year and the cover is fine. Boneco uses a pad to help with mineral buildup. Fairly certain I could do the same to the Vick’s. Boneco holds double the water. I modified the Vick’s so I get 3 gallons of water. The biggest negative, however, is how loud the boneco is. It is so much louder than the Vick’s and both humidify my condo equally. Got this for my pregnant wife but no way I can have this in the same room. So for about $50 you can save $200 by getting a little creative.

I've had this for a while now. I hated it when I got it. Its noisy and hard to clean. It also doesn't work well on carpet, you need to place wood under it. The controls work sometimes and sometimes they don't. Expensive when you can't use it.

Easy to clean (and rarely every have to), sturdy, humidifies a fairly large room well, and the mineral pads for it are cheap.

This thing works soooo much better than the ultrasonics that I had. The air has a much better feel to it than when I use the ultrasonics. The only draw back is that it can be loud. Boiling water does make noise but well worth it. I will be buying another one at the start of winter.

While it was great initially it has stopped working after only 4 months. For the price we hoped it would last longer.
