These boots are dreadful. They are stiff and gave me blisters immediately. I’ve always loved Altras but not these.

I am giving 4 star because the sole is very noisy other than that it is very comfortable shoes for senior like me when your feet grows wide with age.

I bought these for Camino de Santiago last minute so I didn’t read any reviews, but I wish I did. Even after many kilometers walked, my ankles suffered a lot. They have a design issue with the seams inside where the ankle bone sits. I got bruises and skin rubbing in both ankles inside and outside. Hopefully Altra fixed this in the Timp 6 mid boot. Trying them next as they seem to have fixed this.

Disappointing. Construction of seams hits directly over the ankles. Painfully so. Loved the sneakers but the hikers need reworked.

These shoes were made for me! Snug fit in the ankle and arch region but roomy in the toes. Only flat land hikes so far but they are light and comfy. No rubbing that others complained about.
