Hoka One One Speedgoat 7 - Black - 44

This is my third pair of Hokas and I loved them until now. This one fits very thigh. Going to have to return it and try the wide version. If doesn’t fit, I’ll try a different brand.

Loved the look, and color (black and white and no huge marshmallow sole) ! I’ve have many, many pairs of Hoka speedgoats over the last handful of years and loved them for hiking and running! I’ve been wearing these for a couple of weeks and my ankles and knee are definitely feeling rough. I’m going to try adding some insoles and hope that does the trick.

I have a regular width foot in women’s sizing, but I often buy men’s shoes because I prefer the color options, and I don’t mind the extra splay room. I ordered a Men’s 9.5, which has always fit me in every other brand, but this pair was noticeably short and tight. I went up a half size directly from Hoka’s site since a 10 wasn’t available at REI at the time. The length in the 10 was better, but I could already tell that if I ran in them, they would still feel a short. The width was still tight to the point of pinching and painful even just walking around the house. The right shoe also had an odd underlying construction in the heel and arch that caused rubbing. I’m returning these and going with another brand. It’s disappointing because the Men’s color in Varsity Navy / Barley Flour was perfect, and the Vibram traction is phenomenal.

Poor quality construction and Hoka customer support. Eyelet ripped out within 3 weeks. Tried to warranty through Hoka, but never heard back. Luckily REI has excellent return policy, opted to exchange for another pair of Hokas because they felt good on my feet and hoped I had just had gotten a bad pair to begin with. Within 3 weeks the eyelet ripped out of new pair. Will be returning these to REI for a refund. Disappointed with the quality of these shoes and the lack of support from Hoka.

I bought the Hoka Speedgoat 7 because I had been very satisfied with the previous versions, especially the Speedgoat 5. Unfortunately, both the 6 and 7 started showing significant issues.I have always purchased the same size, but these two versions fit smaller: after only 2 km of walking, my toes start hurting. I even tried a larger size, but the problem remains.On top of that, the outsole wears out after just 300 km. The quality of the materials has clearly declined.I’m switching to another brand.
