Great service from your staff picking out a new pair of Hoka tennis shoes. I think it the 5th pair my wife and I bought.

Love these shoes! I have back issues and these are the most reliable, stable and comfortable shoes ever. Purchase was made at the Corte Madera store; Joan was my salesperson and she did a wonderful job informing me about the pros and cons of various Hoka's.

Very pleased with the comfort however they only lasted seven months before the outer sole was worn through evenly.

I have been using the Bondi for years. I run and walk 4-7 miles every day, and the plush cushioning has kept me from discomfort and injury. The 9 was great at first, then I started to notice pain in my ankles when I would wear them, and the pain just got worse and worse. The opening of the shoe comes up too high and bangs against the underside of my outer ankle bones. At first it just hurt when I would wear them, but they were expensive so I kept using them hoping they would adjust. Now both ankles and my achilles tendon hurt even when I'm not wearing them, so I had to stop using them. I'm so disappointed at this design change, especially because it wasn't noticeable until after using them for a while. Now I'm afraid to buy any of the new versions in case this change is common to all models. I'm going to see if I can find an earlier model to purchase and retire this pair after less than 5 months (I can usually wear them for a year and a half, though they're pretty trashed by the end).
