Hoka One One Juoksukengät 'Bondi 9' roosa / puuteri / valkoinen

I’ve been a painfully slow runner my entire life. I’m talking an 11 minute mile with my heart rate in zone 5 the entire time. I always ran in Nikes or more recently, AllBirds. I was about to give up on running, since I wasn’t improving at all, no matter how I trained or what I did. I decided to give these Hokas a try after hearing so many people raving about the brand. I liked the fit of the shoe in the store, but wasn’t expecting much of a difference on my run. HOW WRONG I WAS. I shaved a whole minute off of my mile time (I usually do a run/walk combo). My heart rate is no longer stuck in zone 5 for my entire run. I have less ankle and joint pain after a run. I don’t know what is in these shoes, but I can’t believe I didn’t try them sooner. I’ve included screenshots from my 2 most recent runs. I changed NOTHING between runs, except for the shoes. The 7/9 shows what my typical performance was in AllBirds, and the 7/14 run is in these new Hokas. I’m a customer for life, now!

NOTE: This review is from my mom, the receiver of the shoes. As a mover and a shaker at the young age of 78, I like how these shoes provide great cushion and stability. It makes standing and walking for longer periods more comfortable. I also have some stability issues because of a mature knee, and these shoes provide the necessary stability to keep me up and going. I also like that they come in wide, which helps when my feet swell.

Love these shoes! I have back issues and these are the most reliable, stable and comfortable shoes ever. Purchase was made at the Corte Madera store; Joan was my salesperson and she did a wonderful job informing me about the pros and cons of various Hoka's.

Very pleased with the comfort however they only lasted seven months before the outer sole was worn through evenly.
