Hoka One One Bondi SR -tennarit (naiset) - Black/Black, 38

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH HOKA BONDI SR SLIPRESISTANT WORK SHOES I’ve purchased 4 pairs of HOKA Bondi SR work shoes in about 3 years because they’re some of the most comfortable work shoes I’ve ever worn. I’ve even recommended them to friends and coworkers. Unfortunately, they continue to fall apart way too quickly for shoes that cost nearly $200. I filed a warranty claim, sent pictures, and HOKA denied it as “normal wear and tear.” Four pairs, hundreds of dollars spent, and I personally referred people to your brand and this is how a loyal customer is treated. HOKA definitely lost a customer. I’m sharing my experience so others can make their own decision before spending nearly $200 on HOKA work shoes.

I’m planning on using them in my kitchen job. The tongue does dig into my ankle if I leave it laced all the way, how it arrived, but if I just take one lace level down it’s still secure and doesn’t dig in. Overall they’re quite comfortable, especially with my personalized insole from a local running store.

These are pretty stiff and surprisingly uncomfortable. The top of the tongue also cuts into my ankle with each step. Definitely returning.

As advertised they are super comfortable and padded but most important they have a wide toe box and support my tender big toe so that I walk with zero pain. They are a little small so I got 1/2 size bigger. I had gout and discovered a bit of arthritis in my big toe too, hence buying these shoes.

This SR model of Bondi is based on the #9 version of the shoe. I have used Bondi through versions 6,7,and 8 and LOVED them. But not the 9's!! Hoka made some change to the midsole(?) that makes the ball of my foot hurt. It took me a while to figure out that it was the new 9 version that was the problem. I have had trouble with every version 9 Bondi that I have tried. They last for a couple weeks feeling good and then the ball of my foot gets painful.
