I expected to get more than one year of service but 6 days into it's 2nd year it failed.midway through making a jug. I purchased through an independent coffee seller and it came with a UK adapter fitted over the continental plug so I did not have the problem encountered by other reviewers. When it worked it produced decent coffee, but it's not the easiest machine to fill because of the narrow opening to the water well. I found that using a kitchen funnel was the best way to fill it.

This is just a first comment - I do think it needs to be stated (as the other reviewer commented) that this item ships with a European plug and no adapter. I can supply the adapter but by no means does the item arrive ready for use in UK - because neither does it ship with even a few filter papers! It's a 'bare bones' product. So I cannot comment on its functioning until I get the adapter and the filter papers!

Nearly overlooked this beauty because of the lack of reviews on here, however I went to Amazon.de (Germany)where there are lots of favorable reviews.This machine only makes half the amount that the other suspects that i've bought and discarded made which suits me just fine, living alone (would be equably suitable for two or maybe three people) and whats more it makes the coffee hot, no need to pop it in the microwave! I actually bought it from the German site where it was much cheaper (it is German made) but be aware you will need a power adapter for it (couple of quid from Asda).

Bought for a small caravan. A little pricey but perfect for a couple of cups of fresh coffee for breakfast. Small and light enough to store.
