Excellent french press, good quality. Have used this brand for many many years, and have faith in it's long durability.

it is a direct relacement of my earlier 0.5 l 2 mug jug and is good value and better protected than it's predecessor.

The other review that points out that the plastic expands when hot is correct. Then the glass can fall out if you tip it right up. Apart from that fine.

This is a reasonable product at a reasonable price. It works well although, like all cafetierres, you need to use coarse ground coffee to avoid the sludge at the bottom of the cup. I would recommend that you buy yourself a decent coffee grinder and make your own grind. I remember reading somewhere that coffee from a cafetierre is the 'healthy' option as it's the extra heating of 'instant' (as part of it's processing) or percolated coffee, causes the formation of a compound that promotes cholestrol (it's not the caffeine!). Mind you, if you were worried about that, you'll probably be drinking green tea!
