Edifier T5 8" aktiivisubwoofer, musta

I had puzzled about a modestly priced sub woofer for a while. Contacted Richer Sounds for an opinion and the Edifier was suggested, with suitable cable. Installed easily and provided the bass so often missed with bookcase speakers. A rounded experience now, and sampling familiar songs with satisfying depth. Chatted with Edifier to confirm correct single socket. Successful all round.

Looks and works fine with my Denon AVR. Has adjustments to get the crossover value right and volume. Although not in the spec it does have a red light which turns green when a signal is received, suggesting it closes down when not in use. It's replacing my Tannoy sub which has broken its circuits 3 times costing £50 a time to repair. Other high profile brands seem to also suffer - Google the repairers out there. Trusting this Edifier sub will last the 6yr distance.

Supports smaller main speakers well in the low range. Has the option to send the signal via the sub's own integrated amp first to subtract the bass frequencies from the main speaker amp though I don't think I would recommend doing this if you have decent speakers and power amp. Good sub for small spaces. I did experience some issues with the sub introducing noise into my system but with some tinkering these were resolved.

Great for the price, really opened up the bottom end of of the sound. Adds both punch and detail.
