Sturdy and simple. Tripod holds my Wingspan monocular for tabletop viewing. No more motion sickness from shaky hands. I wrapped the tripod in a tea towel to keep the pokey bits away from the nylon, then slid the bundle back into the tripod stuff sack. Plenty of room. Tripod was first shipped by FedEx, then final delivery by USPO. As always, great customer service from B&H.

Great tripod, for a tabletop. Very easy to adjust and very stable. I am glad I bought this one.

I searched far and wide (only on the internet) and purchased 3 tabletop tripods over the past year to support an 80mm spotting scope. This one is my favorite. I goes really low with the legs fully spread. This requires you to compress a finicky latch inside each leg but that's OK since once set up I don't readjust the legs. This feature in combination with all metal construction makes the 3-legged base very stable. The plastic head, however, is a little wobbly but overall this unit is much more stable than an all plastic unit. I am very satisfied even though I will continue to keep an eye out for an all metal unit.
