Ricoh Semi Hard Case Ts-2 For Theta Z1 kotelo

Nice easy camera to use for Matterport Virtual Tours. The quality of picture is not as good as the Matterport Pro 2 camera, but is a lot quicker to use, 30 mins instead of 60 for a typical house.

Improvement Points: I should had done more research, the product has not really been updated in many years, other than a memory upgrade. It has now been left behind a little. I am sure they will release A new Theta Z1 with removable battery (battery depletes surprisingly fast) and an SD card slot. I brought it 2 weeks ago I ill sell it second hand very soon. My fault!

I have the Theta V and am a bit disappointed that this camera after all the hype is not a lot better!! Did a 3D tour of a home the other day for a real estate agent and there is purple artifacts at the windows and the HDR isnt any better than the V that I can tell. Have only used it once so I will review again later.

Great build, soft inner lining (unlike the TL-2), but doesnt zip all all the way. Im assuming that was intending for charging, but you could have just chose not to fully zip it.

The protective cap is held in place with friction by a silicon type of inner lining that drags across the lenses. I could only imagine getting particles stuck inside and scratching the lenses. The TS-2 is a much safer bet. Otherwise its a nicely made cap.
