The celestron powertank is a very handy and convenience must have item in your astronomy checklist. Excellent power source for your telescope mount, and other activities like camping. Provide a nice variety of ports, USB x 2, 12v x 2 and other options.

This is a must have if you are mounting a Celestron Star Pointer Red-Dot Finderscope and sill want to mount your camera on your telescope. A great idea Celestron.

No problems or issues. Good optics. Good mechanics. Fully assembled weight 10,3 kg. Eats batteries fast, need a powerbank. Included finder is cheap plastic, will throw away. Tripod is very good. Good focuser. Star diagonal is 9/10, but it is prism type. Buying a 60-180 USD one of dielectric mirror type is a marginal improvement, do it only if budget allows. Included 25 mm Celestron eyepiece is decent, also eyeglass friendly. Will keep it despite existent collection of Deloses and Pentaxes. No need to replace it even with very expensive ones. Buyers would need in addition, a 7-8 mm eyepiece for planetary observations and 12-14 mm one, those shall be expensive.

I have been using this PowerTank to power my AVX telescope mount only, and it literally lasts for several hours. I have followed the instructions that come along with the device and I have not had any problems with it (as some other reviewers claimed that have faced). The only issue I had with it, is that it arrived on. Fortunately it did not damage neither the battery nor the performance of the device so far. Overall: good value for the price.

I needed a power source to power my older Meade telescope. This exactly what I needed. I like the dual ports for 12 v and USB. The flashlight and the spot light are perfect for setting up. Great product!!!
