Before I buy a product like this I look at the reviews of similar products and judge the best one to go with. Vortex scored high with 4-5 stars throughout their entire product range. These binos are at the lower end of the product range but are superb value. The 10 x 28 has a slightly larger end element than most compacts with good magnification. Optics are clear and bright, focus is crisp and they are small enough to take out on a walk. The lifetime guarantee is a extra bonus. We love them.
