Texas Instruments Little Professor Solar Laskin

Just remember it solar. I returned this item only because I’m after the old school Liitle Professor. I believe a person can see the numbers better with the older one.

I remember the one I had in my childhood; I used it all the time and my math skills were great because of it. I thought my kids would like too, and had them practice on my phone via the (free!) Little Professor app. It's identical to the older version, with sound effects and all. However, this new one is silent and my daughter was not motivated to keep practicing. Also, it is only usable in the vicinity of a strong light source. A little bit away from the lamp and you can't read the screen. I sent it back.

I had this as a kid and was crazy about it. Bought one for my son but it doesn't interest him at all. He's used to lights and sounds and he thinks it's boring...

My son had one in about 1980. It was not solar then. Now I'm buying one for my Granddaughter for her birthday and I really like the solar Little Professor, I had to try it, it brought back so many memories, I loved playing it too. I can't wait to give it to her and I'm sure my 40 year old son will have fun testing it out.
