KitchenAid Artisan toaster -leivänpaahdin, 2 viipaletta, Lava

I bought the KitchenAid Artisan Pistachio 2 Slot Toaster and, leaving aside the beautiful design and colour, what really surprised me were the small smart features that are not always obvious from the product description. The bread lowers and rises slowly by itself, without needing much interaction, unless you choose to force it manually. When you place bread in the toaster, it detects it automatically and lowers it for toasting. Once the selected time is finished, the bread rises slowly and automatically. Another feature I really like is that, after around 45 seconds of inactivity, the toaster lowers the bread again to keep it warm. Smart! It may sound like a luxury feature, but it actually makes the whole experience feel much more natural and smooth. Most importantly, it toasts evenly and works exactly as expected. Overall, I’m very happy with it.

It looks great and the beep when it pops up is really handy. The problem with this toaster is the springs are so weak it doesn't pop up properly so you risk burning your fingers every time you try to pull out a piece of toast. This is clearly only a Kitchenaid product that has been made cheaply by a different company and doesn't reflect the high quality of their kitchen mixers. Buy a different brand.

I can now have a slice if bread toasted completely and to the level I prefer. The keep warm function is brilliant. The one drawback is that you have to purchase a separate rack for warming croissants etc. I didn't buy this as toaster is very expensive but would have liked the additional rack. There is no comparison with this toaster to any of my previous ones. So far superior. Wish I had purchased earlier. Looks good in kitchen with my matching kettle.

High quality toaster. Great features, especially the auto load. Solid build. Toasts lovely. 2 small things. Can’t get smaller sourdough slices back out without burning your fingers and switch off first before prodding about with metal fork to retrieve the toast. Other issue is cleaning inside. Not found a single toaster that lets you get right in to clean but adequate slide tray as per normal toasters a fraction of the price.
