Turn on the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and you'll wonder how you ever coped with yesterday's ereaders. The light is cool and clear, the new fonts are much easier on the eye, and the reading features are simply seamless. But it's far from perfect: it would be nice to have a non-touch version, the browser is rubbish and the home screen is very busy. Annoyingly, it also lacks some of the cooler features of the (cheaper) US model, including public libraries, inter-Kindle loans, the surprisingly not-awful Special Offers and free Wi-Fi hotspots. If you're yet to buy an ereader there's a lot to like here. The improvements are small, but significant enough to make this the best Kindle yet and the best ereader around. If you already have a Kindle 4 or below, it's probably worth upgrading for the bonus of that night light. If you have last year's Kindle Paperwhite, however, we suggest you save your pennies. Good product but does not have the warm light function as advertised, so kinda falsely advertised. I decided to keep as I already ordered a case for it. Otherwise it is a good device and I like the freedom it offers.

I’ve had my Kindle Paperwhite (10th generation), which is the 4th iteration of the Paperwhite, for I’m not sure how many years now (they were released late 2018 and I probably got it soon after that) and I’m luvin’ it! It it my “go to” reading device. I’m pretty sure mine is the 8GB model, and despite having about 150 books/magazines/PDFs loaded on it, I still have about 5.4GB free. and some of those books are massive tomes like “Anna Karenina” by Leo Tolstoy or multi-volume omnibuses (typically 3-5 books, but one has 15!)

The Kindle Paperwhite takes a lot of what we love about the more expensive, high-end Kindle Oasis and brings the core features into a more affordable package. This is a must-have ereader if you're after a way to read ebooks but you don't want to spend over $200 or £200.
