Fairphone 6 256 Gt 5G

To replace my Cat Phone, I decided to get this Fairphone. I don't use it for gaming, so it seemed more than sufficient. Quick setup and transfer from my Cat in no time, with the same icon layout. Tested since February and received a few updates, so good support. The only issue in my opinion is with photos: in auto mode with flash (torch), as soon as you zoom in too much (>x2), the photo comes out completely black. Simply turn off the flash and it works. Very good night photos. It has the FairPhone glass, and after putting it in my pocket several times with sharp objects, it has no damage at all—perfect. I didn't like the manufacturer's case, so I put a Tudia case on it. Even though it is a little wider, I find it much better. The phone underwent a major involuntary crash test two weeks ago. It fell from my pocket onto a rubberized surface, then onto a hard floor from more than 2m. Nothing happened, everything is fine.

In white, I find it elegant. Although a little heavy (due to the concept), the Fairphone 6 feels comfortable to hold. The photos are decent but could have better resolution considering the price. The volume buttons (on the left) are not always easy to use. As for Android, there are a few improvements to be made. - The touch startup doesn't work on the first try. - The window-switching areas (horizontal swipe on the screen) interfere with vertical scrolling. - Several little things that could be fixed with a few updates. Overall satisfied.

I'm very satisfied with my Fairphone 6. The product meets my expectations: photo quality, ease of use, size, colour, performance... and above all the "fair" and repairable aspect. I'd definitely recommend it! I've also bought the green case that goes with it and it's a great fit.

When I ordered my Fairphone from a shop in Lyon, the sales assistant never told me that I could choose between the normal Android system and the other. Now that I knew both, I would have taken the one with the streamlined Google applications. He didn't even offer me a fairphone case.

In French, it proved impossible to accept the confidentiality policy, as the tick box was "hidden" by the SUIVANT validation key. It is regrettable that this was not corrected, as the designers could not ignore it. It's an unpleasant surprise when you've almost finished configuring it and you have to start again in English with small characters to get through it... (the trick is circulating on the net but not on the Fairphone site). Once in use, you quickly notice that the battery is running low. In normal, everyday use (phone calls, text messages, messaging, internet, etc.), this Snapdragon-powered phone performs well, but its power consumption suffers. For acceptable battery life, if you don't want to recharge your phone every day, you'll need to use the night display and Fairphone Moments mode. The company claims to be eco-responsible, so it's a shame this phone needs so much energy.
