Very impressed! Battery life is impressive. The ability to cut through anything I would expect it to is impressive.

This saw has been my go to for pruning the past couple days since I bought it. Battery life is decent with a 300 series battery. Chain speed is okay, not super, but fast enough. The saw feels very heavy in the hand. The chain doesn't seem to want to stay tight or get tight when adjusting it. The chain was a major annoyance to try and put on for the fist time. It is difficult to line up in the track on the bar and tighten down. It is also rather expensive. The gas variant is way cheaper which actually has an engine. This doesn't feel like a pro saw to me like the 540i does. There is no filter cover for the electric motor like on the 540i. Despite it's short comings I still find myself using it over the 540 or 540i for pruning. Given the high price tag I would expect a more refined tool. I would give it a 3.5 stars if half stars were an option.

I bought this saw and a spare battery several months ago with the intention of using it seriously. I use it to saw my firewood, all hardwood and all sizes. I frequently bury the blade and make repetitive full blade cuts. Using both batteries until the light flashes and the saw shuts off I am able to cut a pick up load of wood, close to what I cut with one tank of gas in my other saw. Keeping the chain sharp is very important and large cuts do run it down quicker, but it is comparable to running 30-40cc gas saw. With the saw, two batteries, and charger I have about $1200 into it, pricey compared to a Milwaukee but I'm happy. No mixing gas, fumes, or cranky cold or hot starts anymore.

Excellent ProSaw that works all round. Cutting line fence up the mountains. Fire wood or just doing some carpentry. This saw does it all for me! You will enjoy the less vibrations and how quietly it operates...Yes even my wife loves the saw! She can turn it on and cut up more fire wood on the fly and no worries of it not working and it’s vary easy to handle even my son who is 8 can operate it safely without concern. Put your gas saw on the shelf for emergency and use your XP535I ProSaw!
