Makita SÄHKÖSAHA MAKITA UC3541A 1800W 14IN

Bought this as Makita is renowned as a decent brand. However, the (plastic) chain tensioner broke within 10 minutes of first use. Fortunately had no problem getting my money back from Amazon.

Not the best on the market,have read other reviews and they all same the same,cheap and nasty,the chain keeps slipping off because the tensioner is made off plastic,and the chain went blunt after one use.Save your money and buy a better one.

Arrived quickly, Easy to assemble, Easy to adjust chain tension, Works a treat. Delighted to have it.

The chain tensioner doesn't hold the tension very well - it requires frequent checks and adjustment. I owned an earlier model from Matika and never had this problem... the design of the tensioner on this one really lets it down. I very nearly returned it, as arguably it's so poor that it's almost unsafe to use.

When I used it for the first time smoke started coming out of the motor, then the trigger became jammed, I returned it immediately received a full refund. I was very disappointed with this saw, I went for makita knowing it was a good brand..... I was not a happy customer.
