I haven't gotten to change from stock frequency (2133 Mhz), but wanted to post that I can confirm it DOES work on my ASRock x99x. Seeing if it will work and be stable above 3000 Mhz remains to be seen (will update here when i can). UPDATE: I have overclocked the RAM. The XMP profile set to 3200Mhz wasn't stable at the profile settings. I had to manually set it and increase the voltage to at most 1.500V. I plan on incrementally lowering it to find the least amount. But I have used AIDA64 Business to stress test and benchmark, and it is most impressive -- Only the Supermicro 16x+ Octal channel could outdo the RAM, X99X, 5820k (OC'ed to 4.2 Ghz) combination set on my rig (*benchmarks are compared to stock specs, obviously).

Had to set speed in BIOS to 3200. It was clocked to 2133 on first boot like other posters encountered. Seems to be a gigabyte z170 thing though.

went into bios picked XMP profile 1 restarted and now it runs at 3200. pretty easy. I have liked this ram so much I just bought another 8 gigs which will give me a total of 16 gigs which is more than enough for me. EDIT 3-31.2016 I bought 2 more sticks and with a bios update on my gigabyte Z170-UD5 to the F5 bios it booted right up and I set it back to profile xmp and now I am running 16 gigs at 3200mghtz. Great deal all around.
