I'll confess to having been slightly anxious at ordering this having seen numerous reviews about how it was supposedly not compatible with various L-brackets. All I can note, is that most of those reviews are several years old and it may be that Manfrotto have updated this plate. As far as I'm concerned this plate works perfectly with a 3-Legged Thing QR11 L-bracket that I purchased from Wex at the same time.

Makes it easy to convert an existing Manfrotto head to an Arca compatible head. The Manfrotto method of attaching the plate is also much easier, you can click it into place then just tighten the screw to secure it solidly. You also don't need the safety Allen bolts on your arca plates as the manfrotto receiver has a spring loaded pin to stop your plate from sliding off by accident.

This plate is terrible-with no rubber grip and a completely smooth surface it does not hold very well. Also trying to use it with OH-50 boom arm and it's slick metal to metal that won't hold. What a poor design! I hate it!

It works well with Sunwayfoto L-bracket. Worth the money spent.

I replaced the RC2 quick release system on my XPRO ball head and I like this system much better. It's easy to click into and feels more solid after you've tightened it. The included plate doesn't have any rubber backing, but once it's on the camera, it doesn't move at all. I haven't tried Kirk and RSS plates in this clamp, but Benro and 3-Legged Things work just fine.
