Its a perfect replacement for the original eye cup, but its pretty stupid how easily the thing comes off. I use a sling strap and I lost two just from the stupid thing popping off while the camera was moving against my body.

It does its job very well. I bought this because I had damaged the factory piece in transit.

The rubber on the original FDA-EP18 Eyecup for my Sony A7 II split. The new one fits in exactly the same way but is a slightly different design, which makes more comfortable.
