This extractor fits perfectly and performs well. The vacuum created around the router base opening not only gathers most all of the wood dust but helps cool the motor housing as well.

I'm wanting to use it on templates. I bought a template guide kit with an adapter included. (Klempson) as well as a makita template guide plate that resembles the adapter on the kit. Might have to return one? I don't know. Wasn't anything in the manual on the accessories that gave any part#s

I bought this router to replace an old Ridgid unit. The router is mounted in a CNC machine and the diameters are slightly different so I have to make a new gripper. However with the aluminum body it looks like it will be more solid than the plastic body on the old one.
