I started to really explore it. The effects you can do with it are amazing. I like the distortion. I use it with my old EOS 1V camera (film) and with a EOS 6D. I did black and white photos and many on digital color, and people love it. They all want to have this lens. Sure, it is fun - but also a special art for me, making it possible to have full 180 degrees coverage with a circle pane. I use it only on 8mm, as this is the setting which blew me away.

I have only used this new lens a few times. It is my first fisheye lens so I am in a learning curve regarding setting up camera angles throughout the whole 8mm - 24mm range. It seems sharp enough for me (advanced amateur) so far, but have not tried shooting stars yet. At 8mm I get the blue fringe around the outside of the circular image. Some folks may find that annoying, but since I post process pretty much every potentially worthwhile shot, I dont mind taking the easy step to remove that fringe with a circular filter. One star removed because the lens cap easily falls off of the sun hood. These photos were made in low light with a hand held Canon 6D-II.

I actually owned this lens a few years ago and sold it. Here I am buying it again bc I realized it really does have a purpose and place in my bag. Ive been working with 360 imagery and video lately and this will be able to help with that as well. Its a solid lens. Solid build. Sharp images. FAST focusing. Sure its an f4 but with a newer camera that can handle high ISO its totally fine. Im happy its back in my bag again.

Very good lens with sharp images. A specialty/boutique lens. Fun to play with. Have only shot it a few times but so far, pleased.

I bought this lens recently, for shooting landscapes and architecture. It is tack sharp, and focuses very fast. I does vignette a lot (enough to see the inside of the lens hood) at 8mm on my 1Ds MKII. BUT...that`s not entirely a bad thing, because it could be used to make some creative photos. So far, I have been having a great time with this lens and it`s a welcome addition to my photo bag.
