Sizewise this lens is perfect for the S9. And the fact that it is an f8 is not ideal, but it works fine for daytime captures. The only downside (and the reason why I will probably never use it) is because it is manual focus only. If only they had made it auto focus, it would have been the perfect companion for the S9 for daytime shooting.

I bought this lens right when it became available and have enjoyed it very much. Its size is perfect for the S9. Manual focus is a new challenge, but a good one as it makes one slow down and be more deliberate when photographing. Results can be surprisingly good. The constant f/8 aperture is a little slower than I’d like. An f/5.6 could be better without adding too much bulk. And the 26mm focal length is just plain cool. This is a really good lens for what it is. Take it out and have fun with your photography again.
