SINGER Promise 1408 on suosittu valinta aloittelijoille helpon käytön ja kevyen rakenteen ansiosta. Vankka metallirunko takaa pitkän käyttöiän ja vakauden ompelun aikana. Kone tarjoaa peruspistoja ja vapaan käsivarren, mikä on kätevää pienempiin projekteihin. Rajoituksia kuitenkin on: pistoja on vähän ja kone ei sovellu raskaille kankaille. Automaattinen neulan pujotin puuttuu, mikä tekee käytöstä vähemmän mukavaa kokeneille käyttäjille. Yksinkertaista ja luotettavaa ompelukonetta etsivälle tämä malli on hyvä vaihtoehto.

I bought this machine a few months ago to replace my well used Janome. I expected a better quality from the Singer name. I’m not a novice machinist but have had to replace so many needles & checked everything in the manual in an attempt to get a reasonable result sadly to no avail. Thankfully I bought the machine on special so not too great an outlay but this is a case of buyer beware, not all well known brands are as good as their name.

Bought this machine earlier this week without much help or any offer of demonstration, so took a risk as to whether it was a tinny, noisy machine. I last bought a sewing machine in 1982 ! and it was well demonstrated in those days I went on the description of the machine, the historic name of Singer and price, and have to say that I have been using it alot in last two days, my opinion of the Promise is that it met all my hopes, for a quiet, easy to use machine. It has a bit of weight to it , literally purrs and sews fast and perfect. I am very happy with it.

I was so worried with all the reviews as I am a complete beginner, but this machine is sooo easy to use. I highly recommend it. I was sewing straight out of the box

Got this for my daughter for Christmas. She has been asking all year for her own machine. Well now I don't get a change to sew because since we unboxed it yesterday I have spent the whole time troubleshooting for her. She has a beautiful fabric collection and this 'toy' won't sew anything thicker than quilting cotton. I am so disappointed but not nearly as unhappy as she is.

Bit brittle plastic, cover for it served no purpose. Bought it for the name Singer but not nearly as good as the name would lead you to believe
