Fantastic bit of kit, used to plane hard wood and no complaints, easy quick change blade system helps, 850 watt motor makes it , no power drop when planning max depth. I've been in the trade for 40 years so it says alot

Well built, with plenty of power. Ripped through figured white oak with no problem. My old planer would have been screaming at me.

Really well made, I've had to be patient to learn how to control it.

Decided to go with this planer after reading good reviews on it , On first impressions it looked very sturdy, not to heavy and when in use was very easy to adjust depth of blade, only one thing I would complain about is length of cable could be longer but otherwise a very well made planer.

Cutting blade shattered on a knot in mesquite, not just chipped, SHATTERED! And changing blades is an awesome adventure in frustration. Whatever genius designed this decided that stability isnt needed when working on it. Damn thing has to he cradled while you work on it so be prepared to build a stand for it or ask a friend. But the blade shattering from a knot is unacceptable. Will be reaching out about that
