I purchased this to support my 27" monitor used in conjunction with my laptop. I holds steady like a rock and allows me to set the position perfectly. I'm an old Vietnam vet and this puts the monitor exactly where I need it to be.

It's a monitor arm. It holds the monitor up. In a position I like. It was easy to assemble. What more do you want?
